Summer Cardigan

Don't you just love those Facebook memories that pop up in your feed every day? Reminding us what we posted on this day last year (or even  ten years ago).  Well this popped up  a few days ago. I'd almost forgotten about this little beauty. Well grandbaby number 1 has outgrown it but GB2 will get some wear out of it this year. Its a perfect little Summer evening cardi.

Sew a pair of cute leggings. Tutorial.

I think these are the cutest little things, and with two grandchildren, I know that you can never have too many pairs of cute leggings. I think these will be my next make. What a great tutorial. Enjoy

A few of my favorite things

Pretty little dresses. 2018 wasn’t my most productive year, crafts- wise. But I did manage to squeeze in some sewing. This little cross-over reversible pinafore for my grand-daughter turned out so cute. Kaffe Fassett and Brandon Mably fabrics are so soft and the vibrant prints work perfectly with this little dress. Huge thanks to Smashed Peas and Carrots for the pattern and tutorial. I love how generous craftspeople are online, sharing ideas and skills.

New Year, Same Old Me.

So, here we are, a new year. 2019. Oh, the possibilities. I sometimes think we place too much importance on ringing in the new year. And making resolutions? Whose bright idea was that? Gyms, slimming clubs, health gurus all trying to sell us something. New Year, New You, the advertisements shout at us. Well, I’m having none of it. My motto is New Year, Same Old Me. So this year, this wonderful, amazing year of 365 new starts, is the year when I’m not making any resolutions. Nope, not one.  I’m just making the stuff that makes me happy. Beautiful quilts, cosy knitted socks, cute crocheted hats, big delicious pots of soup, personal journals, vegetable gardens, flower beds, and so much more. All the stuff that makes me happy. Why not tag along. I’d love the company.
